Vienna wouldn't be Vienna without Sissi! The Hofburg Imperial Palace boasts several prestigious collections and houses the Sissi Museum. The legend of this Bavarian duchess is rooted in the collective unconscious. She married Emperor Franz Joseph I and became the Empress of Austria from 1854 to 1898 and was then crowned Queen of Hungary. The Sissi Museum consists of six rooms devoted to the personality of the fascinating figure known as Sissi. All her inclinations are unveiled in the tour, which presents her personal effects, portraits of the lady wearing sumptuous gowns, jewellery, accessories, ball gowns and much more.
